ON A PERSONAL NOTE: Strangely enough, it has just dawned on me that this is the "turn of the century". I know that I had thought about it, but it really hit me while watching a television show about the turn of the last century. I have been thinking a lot about how my ancestors must have felt in the early 1900's. Things were just starting to happen with the automotive age and electricity and the beginning of flight. Life was changing in major ways for them at that time. Here we are in the early 2000's and life seems to be going on as usual. Is that how they felt at the time? Did they notice the huge changes that were going on around them? Am I taking for granted new technology? It is so much easier to "reach out and touch someone" than it ever has been before. Things like my cell phone, text messaging and computer make it so much easier to conduct business from my home and never really have to have that face-to-face contact with people like there was even 10 or 20 years ago. I love interacting with people and seeing their faces as they look at the things that I have to offer on the web site. It is very different than conducting business over the internet. I recently did my second "show" and it was exciting to stand face-to-face with people and answering questions and talking to them about my products. The crystal wands were a very big hit, as well as the beautiful velvet and beaded bags. And the capiz shell candle holders are always the best sellers. (There is one on the bedside table of the new Tide commercial). It was very nice to hear other people's opinions about what I have to offer. Because of all this, we have decided to create video clips for each product offered on the web site. That way you can see them better and get a better idea of what the items actually look like. I am very excited about this concept. Within the next couple of months they should all be up and running. If there are any suggestions you can offer or new products you would like to see featured here, please write and let me know. Enough from me for now - thank you for reading!
