I hope that you are all enjoying a very nice Holiday Season!! With the New Year just around the corner, it is time for all those Resolutions. Several years ago, my resolution was to not make any more resolutions. I have actually stuck to this one!! I decided that if there was something that I wanted to do - I was just going to do it and not wait for a 'prescribed' time. That was the best resolution I have ever made. What resolutions have you made and accomplished - or not accomplished? Write and let me know and I will share some of them here in next month's newsletter.

Christmas was wonderful this year - as always. My sister, Pam, came home this year and my 90 year old Great-aunt Vera (who has always been more like a grandmother to me) were both at my parents. I was able to spend 4 1/2 days with all of them. It was the first Christmas in probably 30 years that all 5 of us celebrated together. It was so very nice!! We celebrated Christmas the Saturday before Christmas because Pam wanted to spend Christmas Day with her new God-Son, Jonathan. This was Jonathan's first Christmas. He is so adorable! (He is my God-Nephew) *big smile*

Christmas Eve was spent with Tom's family. His sister and her husband and 7 year old daughter; his brother and his wife and their 3 year old son and 1 year old daughter; his mom, dad and grandmother. It was wonderful!! I just love watching the kids' faces when they open their presents. And, if you have not guessed, most of my Christmas presents were new scuba gear. And - oh - the food!! Both celebrations had such wonderful food!! But spending time with family is my favorite part of any holiday.

I hope your celebrations were joyous and your new year is bright and beautiful!!

Our tradition is that we open our home to family and friends. All we ask is that in return they contribute something foodwise towards the meal. My Husband and I usually do the turkey, ham and dressing. I realized when we got all the food out on the table we had no vegetables. Really kind of funny because everyone had told me what they were bringing and I had approved it. I also had gotten cranberry sauce and realized later that we didn't put that out either. REALLY funny after the fit that I threw about having to go to the store earlier in the week to pick some up.....
